Week 14

The article I chose is about North Korea threatening war against South Korea. After a failed rocket launch on Friday, North Korea went on to celebrate the 100th birthday of Kim Il-Sung, the dynasty's first leader. Like every other country, South Korea made a few comments about the North's failure. Because of South Korea's comments, North Korea is vowing a "sacred war" if South Korea does not apologize.

Just a passing question, but haven't these two nations already been to war? Didn't that war accomplish nothing? To quote Peter Griffin in the Family Guy episode where he went back to third grade, "Oh my God! Who the (heck) cares?!" I find this quote to be true in this case. Who cares what South Korea said? North Korea is just looking for someone to take their failure out on. I hate to break it to North Korea, but everyone was kind of laughing at them. Despite warnings not to launch a rocket, North Korea did. It's their own fault they publicly humiliated themselves. It's no reason to start a war against South Korea.

  1. I agree with you all around. There is absolutley no point in them fighing, it's not going to accomplish anything and obviously will make things worse. And I really like the quote haha, great choice. Also, North Kora totally embarrassed them selves, just humiliating. It's so sad how they have gotten so frustrated with everyon laughing at them.

  2. I totally agree with almost everything you said. North Korea and South Korea may still have high tensions but another war will litteraly get them nowhere. Just like the last time i would bet we will remain on parralel 48 North. Not being a Korean i dont understand the clash of nationalities but from my comfy standpoint here the fighting is ridiculous.
